The popular diva and "We Belong Together" singer is the latest celebrity to have a biopic on their life coming soon to television. This is only one of a few other projects that Mariah Carey hopes to work on soon, proving that she is not in the least bit deterred since her performance on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve."
Carey's manager, Stella Bulochnikov, confirmed the new move. "We do have a scripted drama that we are developing that has not been announced about Mariah's life that's going to be incredibly poignant," said Bulochnikov to ET.
There has not yet been an actress picked to play Carey in the biopic, but whoever is chosen will have a lot to live up to. Carey rose to fame in the early 1990s and earned her status as one of the best vocalists of all time. She brought us favorites like "Hero," "Fantasy," "Touch My Body," and perhaps one of the last great Christmas hits, "All I Want For Christmas Is You." The singer has also been married twice, which the biopic may cover as well as any other major events in Carey's life.
Carey might have gotten the year off to a rocky start while experiencing sound and technical difficulties during her New Year's Eve performance, but like she tweeted after the event, she looks forward to making more headlines in the new year and we're ready for it!
